Our goal is simple: recommend apps we would actually install ourselves.

Testing

We install and use apps on current Apple devices before recommending them. We look at setup, everyday usability, performance, privacy practices and price. Where an app behaves differently on iPhone, iPad or Mac, we say so.

Updates

App stores move fast. We review our lists on a rolling basis through 2026, remove apps that decline or disappear, and add better options as they arrive.

Independence

Our recommendations are not for sale. We do not let any company pay for a higher placement in a list, and we disclose any affiliate relationship clearly.
